If you have become attached to your number, don't worry - Orange make the process of transferring it onto your new mobile painless and fast. Simply contact the network your number is currently with and request a 'PAC code', then give this to Orange customer services once you have your new phone. About Orange

When Orange launched in April 1994, it was the fourth entrant into a crowded and colourless UK mobile phone market, littered with high-tech jargon and complicated pricing. Products were inflexible and confusing: the preserve of business users.

Orange had a radically different idea. We thought a better world would be one without barriers. We wanted to change people's attitudes by making mobile communications an intuitive part of everyday life - for everyone. Orange began building a fresh new identity and approach to how we talked to and treated our customers, and this continues to this day.

Orange Coverage

Orange covers 99% of the UK population, so you'll never be out of touch. Their new 3G network is being expanded daily, bringing you the coverage you need to keep connected. What's more, Orange are the only UK network that will credit your account with a minute of talktime in the rare event that your call drops.

Upgrade your existing Orange mobile phone

If you already have an Orange "pay monthly" account and want to stay with Orange, without changing your number, we can help. All of Orange's phones are available as upgrades through The 3G Shop - simply browse our range as normal, and select the "Upgrade" tariff when you've chosen your phone.

We have to do a few checks with Orange first, and then we'll contact you straight away with full details of your upgrade. The cost of your upgrade (if not free) is determined by Orange, so unfortunately we can't display the price right here on the site - but rest assured that we won't charge anything or go ahead with the connection without speaking to you first!

Orange Call Charges

All charges are per minute and include VAT. Calls are billed per second.

Not paying by Direct Debit costs £3 per month unless you pay via an Orange shop.

Standard calls are calls to 01 or 02 geographic landlines.

* Free on Racoon plans with an 18 month contract and all Panther plans.
** Multiple photo messages or messages over 50kb are 50p.

Orange believe that technology doesn't matter, communication does. So whether you choose free Orange broadband, 2 for 1 cinema tickets every Wednesday or their amazing Magic Number promotion (see tab above) you can count on your new Orange phone to deliver great value for money.

Canary

A new package for nature's born talkers.

If you like to keep friends and family close, then Canary is for you. Youll get extra minutes to chirp away through the night and all weekend long. Plus Orange Photography free for three months on an 18 month package, giving you 30 photo messages per month to send to friends or your online Orange Photos album.

Racoon

A new package for the industrious and resourceful.

If you see your phone as a tool, not a toy then Racoon is for you. Youll get extra minutes to landlines, plus with an 18 month package, Answer Phone is included too.

Dolphin

A new package for the fun-loving and highly sociable.

If you use your thumbs more than your voice, then Dolphin is for you. Youll get loads of inclusive texts plus on an 18 month package, four free downloads to personalise your phone.

Panther

A new package for people who are always on the go.

Panther is for those who expect more. All the extras come as standard including specialist customer service, and loads of minutes and texts too. Plus get three months free email access when you take an 18 month package.

Orange Magic Numbers

Orange believe there's no substitute for a good old-fashioned chat. That's why they've introduced Magic Numbers - a new way to talk longer for less.

Simply choose a Magic Number - it can be any Orange UK mobile - and you can call your Magic Number and talk for as long as you like at any time of day. So you can make unlimited calls to the people you need to stay close to, subject to a fair usage policy of 3 hours per day, per Magic Number.

After six months you can add another number to your list. And another every six months after that. Add as many as you like, it's that simple.

All you need to do is call 07973 100 150 once you have your new Orange mobile, and give them your first Magic Number. Then start chatting! Please note that Magic Numbers are only available if you have chosen an 18 month contract.

So whoever you choose, your best mate at uni, your partner, or your parents, you can stay connected and not worry about the cost.

Orange Wednesdays

Treat yourself to a night at the cinema and bring a friend on Orange. As an Orange customer you can get two-for-one cinema tickets every Wednesday. That's to any film, at any time, at cinemas nationwide, every Wednesday.
